Privacy & cookies
How this review version handles information. Updated 7 October 2026.
Information you choose to submit
Application forms collect business contact details, services and coverage for listing review. Contact forms collect a name, email and message to handle your request. Repair enquiry drafts collect equipment, fault, postcode and contact details for review. Avoid health information, identity documents and payment details.
Where submissions go
In a configured server installation, submissions are stored in a database outside the public website folder. Authorised administrators can view them. This version does not automatically email submissions or send them to repair businesses. In the standalone downloadable preview, forms are not connected and do not save submissions.
Business information
Public business profiles use information from the linked business websites. A business may request a correction, claim review or removal through the contact page.
Cookies and analytics
The server uses an essential session cookie for form protection and administrator access. It expires after eight hours. On fixmymobility.com, Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept optional analytics cookies. It helps us understand page visits and use of the directory. Google receives usage and device information and may process it outside the UK. Analytics cookies can persist for up to two years. You can reject analytics or change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. We remember your choice for six months. Downloadable previews and admin pages do not load Google Analytics. We do not deliberately send form details or URL query strings to Google Analytics. See Google’s privacy policy. Anonymous action counts are only recorded when the separate analytics setting is enabled; raw postcodes, names, email addresses and message content are excluded.
Google Fonts may be requested for the page typefaces; your browser makes that request to Google. System fonts are used if the request is unavailable. The standalone offline preview uses system fonts only.
Retention and access
Preview records are intended for testing and should be deleted before launch. A configurable retention command is included for the operator to run; deletion is not automatic unless that command is scheduled. Server security rate limits use short-lived counters rather than storing raw IP addresses in enquiry records.
Before a public launch
The final privacy notice must name the responsible operator, its contact details, purposes and lawful bases, recipients, retention periods and applicable rights. It must reflect the chosen host and any future email or analytics provider. Public submission mode remains locked until the operator supplies the required details.
