How listings work

Clear information. Clear distinctions.

A business appearing in a directory should never leave you guessing what has actually been checked.

Public listing

Our initial profiles use factual information from each business’s own website. They are marked “Public listing · not an endorsement”. A source review establishes what the business publishes; it is not an inspection of its work or an independent check of qualifications or insurance.

Claiming a profile

A business can submit a claim or correction. Requests enter an owner review queue. Ownership must be checked through an appropriate business contact before a claim is accepted or information is changed. Submitting a form does not automatically claim a profile.

Checked, verified and approved

These labels are not currently awarded. If an evidence-based programme is introduced, the criteria and the scope of each check will be published first. Payment will not turn a listing into a verified or approved business.

Ordering and sponsorship

The directory currently sorts by business name, with an optional home-visits-first view. There are no sponsored listings in this version. If paid prominence is introduced, it will be labelled separately from factual listing status.

Corrections and removal

Businesses and visitors can submit a correction or removal request. Include the business name, the information concerned and a source that helps us review it. Do not send private identity documents through the contact form.

What to check yourself

Confirm model support, coverage, availability, price, insurance relevant to the work and the business’s terms before you agree a repair. The directory does not replace those questions.
